Pre-apprenticeships

Kick start your construction training...

The Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship - Bricklaying is a first step to getting an apprenticeship in the building industry or in bricklaying. It is a comprehensive course based on hands-on experiences. It involves both theory and practical skills in building and construction, with an emphasis on bricklaying. This course aims to help students to complete broad-based training in housing and commercial construction, equipping you with the type of skills and knowledge an employer looks for when hiring an apprentice.

At the Academy, you’re able to gain confidence by familiarising yourself with equipment, materials, practices and expectations, preparing you for the workforce or allowing you to improve on existing skills.

Government funding support is available for this course. Your completed pre-apprenticeship will also provide credit towards your formal studies if you go on to an apprenticeship.
